MESSAGE OF APPRECIATION
As we bring the activities of the Central Planning Committee for the burial of our beloved mother, Mrs. Ezinne Orduah Amaechi, to a close, we wish to express our profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who stood with the Amaechi family and contributed, in diverse ways, to giving Mama a truly befitting farewell.
We were deeply humbled by the remarkable outpouring of love, solidarity and respect demonstrated throughout the funeral ceremonies.
To the numerous dignitaries, political leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, members of the clergy, captains of industry, friends, associates and well-wishers who travelled from far and near to honour Mama and commiserate with H.E. Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, H.E. Dame Judith Amaechi and the entire Amaechi family, we say a very heartfelt thank you. Your presence brought tremendous comfort to the family and added immeasurable honour to Mama’s final journey.
We equally appreciate those who, for one reason or another, could not be physically present but sent representatives, condolence messages, prayers, wreaths and other expressions of sympathy and support. Every gesture was noticed, valued and deeply appreciated.
To all those who generously supported the burial ceremonies through financial donations, material contributions and other forms of assistance, we remain immensely grateful. Your generosity enabled the Committee to undertake the enormous responsibility entrusted to it and contributed greatly to the success of the ceremonies.
We reserve special appreciation for the members of the Central Planning Committee, as well as the Chairmen, Secretaries and members of the various Sub-Committees, who gave their time, energy, ideas and resources in service of this responsibility. The commitment, sacrifice and teamwork demonstrated throughout the planning and execution of the funeral activities were exceptional.
To our numerous volunteers and support personnel, including those who worked quietly and tirelessly behind the scenes in protocol, logistics, transportation, accommodation, security, media, welfare, hospitality, venue management, traffic control and other areas, we owe a special debt of gratitude. Many of your contributions may never be publicly acknowledged by name, but they were seen, they were valued, and they were indispensable.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Church and clergy, the traditional institution and the good people of Ubima, the security, traffic management, safety, medical and emergency agencies, and all institutions and organisations whose cooperation helped ensure that the ceremonies were peaceful, orderly and successful.
Above all, we thank God Almighty for granting us the grace, strength and favourable circumstances to discharge this solemn responsibility.
The extraordinary attendance and overwhelming expressions of love witnessed during these ceremonies were a fitting testimony to the life and legacy of Mama and to the goodwill enjoyed by the Amaechi family.
To everyone who attended, prayed, gave, served, supported, encouraged or stood with the family in any way, we say thank you.
We could not have accomplished this without you.
May God Almighty richly bless and reward you for your kindness, sacrifice and support, and may the gentle soul of Mrs. Ezinne Orduah Amaechi continue to rest in perfect peace.
Amen.
