Chief. Dr. Bernard Aprioku Okome thank Pere and Owubokiri, as Ogbogbo Phase 2 residents gather in appreciation for completing the Internal Electrification of their community.
It is in high spirit community members of Ogbogbo Phase 2, in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State gathered in appreciation of Engr. Hon. Pere Ibibia and Dr. Felix Tonye Owubokiri for their well thought out assistance in completing the Electrification of their community after months of lights out in the community.
It will be recalled that, Tekena ThankGod Ikpaki and Desmond Stephen has taken parts of the job earlier to ensure the community has light. But the community still surfers setback as further installations were needed, which includes some poles, wires, cross nuts, and workforce payments.
The community leaders and the Utility Facilities Committee called the attention of these public spirited men to help fix the remaining parts of the Electrification project.
In an interview with newsmen, Chief Dr. Bernard Aprioku Okome thanked the philanthropists for the gesture. In his speech, the former chairman of Kirike Town Council of Chiefs said the gesture has uplifted the community from the burden suffered for a long time. He maintained that, it is only when community spirited humans joins hands with the government development is sustained. He described Pere and Owubokiri as divinely sent at a time it is most expedient for the community.
Also the Ogbogbo Phase 2 Community Utility facilities Committee Chairman, Mr. Sylvernus T. Oba thanked Pere and Owubokiri for their magnanimity in ensuring the completion of the community Electrification project.
By this gesture of Engr. Pere and Dr. Owubokiri the issue of Ogbogbo Phase 2 Electrification problem is said to be over. This brings the joyous mood of the inhabitants of the community.
Community Development comes when all hands are on deck.
