Fubara submits Medium Term Expenditure Framework to Rivers State House of Assembly.
Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has submitted the 2026/2028 Medium Term Expenditure Framework to the Rivers State House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, confirmed receipt of the document at an emergency plenary convened on Thursday morning.
However, the House later deferred debate on the medium-term expenditure framework to a later date and adjourned sitting.
Recall that Rivers State House of Assembly is the state’s unicameral legislative body responsible for making laws, confirming executive appointments, executive budgets for the running of the state
expenditure and stands as check and balance in governance. It consists of 32 members elected from 32 state constituencies across the 23 Local Government Areas of Rivers State .
