A leading women group in Rivers State, Rivers Women Unite for Sim, RWUS, Ogu-Bolo chapter took thanking God in a glorious dimension, as the Ogu-Bolo women gathered in their numbers in Ogu, headquarters of Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The women went to God in thanksgiving for the life of the governor, HE. Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS and peace process in the state. According to the leader in the area, Barr. Christiana Tamunoberetonari, who spoke to news men shortly after the event said, the women gathered to thank God for ensuring peace in the state. A legal practitioner, women and child rights activist, Barr. Christy stated that, Rivers State has gone through rigorous political turmoil, which may have
distracted governance, and truncated development, God averted all, and made all sides to embrace peace which was Instituted by the President of the country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Adding that, it is only in the atmosphere of peace development and quality of life can thrive.
Barr. Christy used the medium to encourage the women and indeed the people of Ogu-Bolo to support the governor Fubara led administration to succeed. The programme was used to empower more than 300 business women, and the aged in the area.
